Marijuana valued at $37,000+ confiscated

High-grade marijuana with an estimated street value of over $37,000 was seized during weekend arrests by agents from the 27th Judicial District Drug Task Force.
DTF agents arrested Thomas Eugene Wilson, 62, of Goldendale, Wash., on Saturday for possession of Schedule VI marijuana with intent, according to a DTF press release.
Wilson was allegedly found in possession of about 15 pounds of high-grade marijuana with a street value of $37,500 and was selling the marijuana for $2,500 per pound.
He was held in the Weakley County Jail after his arrest.
Acting on a tip, DTF agents conducted surveillance at a Weakley County residence where Wilson was allegedly supposed to make the marijuana delivery. He was stopped by agents just before arriving at the delivery location. The marijuana and $6,000 in cash were recovered, the DTF reported.
Further investigation led agents to the delivery of four pounds of marijuana to Kyle D. Adkins, 29, and Laurie M. Dyer, 35, at 4296 Ralph Puckett Road near South Fulton. Adkins and Ms. Dyer were both arrested and charged with possession of Schedule VI marijuana with intent to sell or distribute.
They were both housed at the Obion County Law Enforcement Complex pending arraignment today.
At the South Fulton residence, other people allegedly arrived to purchase marijuana from Adkins and Ms. Dyer, according to the DTF, which reported several people were detained throughout the investigation.
As a result, several vehicles and thousands in cash were seized.
The investigation remains ongoing.
