An argument between relatives led to injuries and an arrest for felony charges over the weekend in Fulton County, Ky.
Charlie Walker, 27, was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and second-degree assault following an alleged incident late Friday night in the Brownsville community, according to a Fulton County Sheriff’s Department press release.
The sheriff’s department had received a call about 10:20 p.m. from Russell Walker on State Route 925 in the Brownsville community, with Walker informing dispatch he was afraid there was going to be trouble at his home because his nephew, Charlie Walker, had allegedly called and told him he was on his way to settle an argument.
Before deputies arrived, Russell Walker’s wife called the dispatch center and said an ambulance was needed at the residence. She claimed Russell Walker had been run over by Charlie Walker and was lying in the yard, and she told authorities the truck had fled the scene toward Tennessee.
Russell Walker was transported by ambulance to Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton for treatment.
The Obion County Sheriff’s Department was able to locate and hold Charlie Walker in order for Fulton County authorities to obtain a warrant, according to the press release. Walker signed a waiver of extradition and was transported Saturday to the Fulton County Detention Center on the two charges.
The case remains under investigation.
