A local man has been charged in connection with home break-ins on Hardy Road in Fulton County, Ky.
Robert Bradley Hardy, 29, was arrested Monday night on burglary charges after the Fulton County Communications Center received a report of a burglary in progress at 1040 Hardy Road in Fulton County.
According to a Fulton County Sheriff’s Department press release, the call came at 6:46 p.m. and the home owner reported he was certain the suspect was still in the house.
The home owner told deputies that when he came in, someone was cooking a steak in his microwave and ran upstairs as he opened the door. Deputies searched the residence and found Hardy in a crawl space on the second floor.
As Hardy was being arrested, authorities received a report that the house next door had also been entered. The residents there told deputies they heard a noise in the back bedroom and, upon investigation, allegedly saw Hardy climbing out the window. Two bottles of medication and three rings were reported missing and Hardy was also charged in that burglary.
He is currently being held in the Fulton County Detention Center in Hickman, Ky., pending a court appearance Tuesday.
