Fulton residents are being invited to share the Christmas spirit by making donations of canned goods and nonperishable food items to “Operation Christmas — Stuff the Squad Car!” on Dec. 15 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the parking lot next to the red caboose in downtown Fulton.
Fulton Police Chief Terry Powell said families are encouraged to take time out from stuffing their holiday stockings to “fill the Fulton city police car with canned and nonperishable food items that will assist area families in need this Christmas.”
Items collected will be donated to the Ken-Tenn Food Bank.
Anyone who wants to make a donation in advance may drop items off at the Fulton Police Department. For more information, contact Powell at (270) 472-3141.
