Charges are pending in the weekend theft of a motorcycle from a garage at a Union City man’s business.
Barry Herter told police a yellow 2001 Harley-Davidson™ Sportster was taken Sunday from his garage at Barry’s Auto Sales, according to a Union City Police Department report.
He said he had given a key to a Hornbeak man in order for him to clean the garage while he was out of town, but he returned to find the motorcycle had been taken without permission.
Martin police reported officers there had pursued the stolen motorcycle for other alleged offenses before the theft incident was reported and have the motorcycle impounded.
Union City police said a warrant will be issued for the arrest of the man who allegedly took the motorcycle and was identified as the driver in the Martin incident.
