Mary L. Lawson, 76, of Clinton, Ky., died peacefully Nov. 24, 2012, at The Hospice of Lenawee Home. She was a former resident of this area.
Services will be Wednes-day at 7 p.m. at the Tecumseh (Mich.) Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes, with her cousin, David DeLong, officiating. A private burial is planned at Rose Hill Cemetery in Obion.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the time of services Wednesday.
She was born Oct. 17, 1936, in Highland Park, Mich., daughter of the late Harry and Violet (Marshall) Quinn. She married Thomas JR. Lawson June 1, 1957, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 2004.
Mrs. Lawson was a licensed practical nurse at Provincial House and Lynwood Manor in Michigan. She had been a member of Kiwanis, the Red Hat Society and Tecumseh Church of Christ and had volunteered at Maurice Spears Campus.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mary is survived by two sons, Robert D. Lawson of Orange City, Fla., and Thomas Lawson and Donna McGormley of Britton, Mich.; her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and James Draper of L’Anse, Mich.; her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Sue Quinn of Livonia, Mich.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Fern and Ray Herbert of Fenton, Mich., and Beverly and Jerry Jakobus of Canton, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her sister.
