Dog owner charged

A Union City woman was charged after her dog allegedly bit a 7-year-old child Monday afternoon.
Sabrina Morgan, 35, of 308 East Cheatham St. was issued a citation charging her with vicious animal, according to a Union City Police Department report.
Police had responded about 4:30 p.m. Monday to a North Division Street home, where the resident said she was watching her son and daughter running to her home after getting off the bus. She told an officer she saw a black German Shepherd and another black and brown dog chasing her children, and she saw the German Shepherd bite her 7-year-old son on the left forearm.
The reporting officer said he observed a bruise, but no broken skin, on the child’s arm.
Police were told the dog belonged to Ms. Morgan and she was issued the citation.
