Third Review Club meets

The Third Review Club was called to order recently by president Nita Simpson. She welcomed members and a new member, Mrs. William C. McMillen,
Chaplain Hazel Williams gave the thought of the day. Mary Dunavant called the roll with each of the 14 members naming their favorite Thanksgiving celebration food.
Mrs. Dunavant read a thank-you note from Northwest Safeline. The club agreed to send money to Chimes for Charity for a Christmas basket.
Vice president Peggy Drerup announced the Dec. 14 meeting will be the Christmas luncheon at 11:30 a.m., with Mrs. Simpson and Lenora Stephenson as hostesses.
Bernice Shore presented the program on “The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.” The first is the Great Pyramid of Giza, Egypt; the second is the Hanging Gardens of Babylon; the third is the gold statue of the kings of the Greek gods, which was built in the honor of the original Olympics games which began in the ancient city of Olympia; the fourth is the Temple of Artemis, Turkey; the fifth is the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, Turkey; the sixth is the Colossus of Rhodes, Greece; and the seventh is the Lighthouse of Alexandria.
The meeting was adjourned.
Hostess Mary Ellen Stevens served pumpkin rolls, sausage balls, pigs in a blanket, fresh fruit, nuts and coffee.
