Miss Chandler, Yates to wed on Dec. 1

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Kristin Michelle Chandler of Union City and Wesley Russell Yates of Nashville are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Michael and Rhonda Chandler of Union City. She is the granddaughter of Perry and Mary Angeline Emrich of Union City and Jerry and Betty Chandler of Troy.
She graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2008 with a major in elementary education. She is employed at Black Oak Elementary School in Hornbeak.
The groom-elect is the son of Ken Yates of Hornbeak and Virgil and Lori Griffin of Troy. He is the grandson of Susan Yates and the late Bob Yates of Hornbeak, David and June Wilson of South Fulton and Russ and Carla Thompson of Union City.
He graduated from UTM in 2010 with a major in exercise science and wellness. He attends Tennessee State University in Nashville, where he is pursuing a doctorate in physical therapy.
The couple will wed 5 p.m. Dec. 1 at Second Baptist Church in Union City.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
