We are looking to expand our “Classic” collection. If you have any “Classics” just sitting around (and they are in good shape) and want to donate them to our library we would be excited to receive them!
The Career Coach was a success! We had several people to participate. I want to thank all the children who stopped by for our “trick or treating” on Halloween evening. The winner of the drawing was Hayden Burris son of Amanda Houston. He received a Wal-Mart Gift Card.  We continue to have a good turnout for our Thursday Morning Story Time. We encourage the parents to bring your children to our Story Time each Thursday morning at 10:30am.
The Book Buzz met this week and discussed several books. The Book Buzz will meet again on November 29th at 1:30pm in the library. We encourage new members to join, stop by and check us out.  We have a new website!!! You can access it at https://sites.google.com/site/sharonpubliclibrary/home
We continue to have a lot of information to offer on our website and our Agent Verso Website. You can access this at http://tenvverso.autographics.com/iluminar/home.asp?lid=sharon .
Check out our resources page on our website and our “splash page” on Agent Verso.  Check out the Learning Express and follow the link to job search and workplace skills. There are several prep tests available including the Compass Practice Test and how to create a resume. When you create your personal account it will let you store your resume in a PDF file that you can access anywhere there is an internet connection. While you are there also check out the READS for downloading EBooks and the World Book Encyclopedia.  Remember we are consistently adding new books and DVDs to our collection, stop by and check some out. We continue to take donations of paperback, hardcover books, DVDs and VHS tapes. We do accept Memorials this is another way to honor your loved one with a book placed in the library. The Library continues to offer Faxing and Coping for a minimal fee. We also offer free paper shredding and Free Wi-Fi. The Library also has several different Community items for sale, The Last 100 Years of Sharon, Sharon 1997 Annuals and our Sharon Afghans. Please stop by to check out our ongoing book sale, books are added weekly. Don’t forget about our recycling. We are taking ink jet cartridges, old cell phones and laser jet cartridges for recycling. The City of Sharon also has a trailer set up for recycling. Please remember this is for paper, cardboard, electronics and aluminum only.
