The First United Methodist Church in Dresden will be having a fundraiser for
Bethany Scott. The meal is set for November 17 at the church. Spaghetti dinners will be sold for $6 per plate. As with any fundraiser, volunteers are needed. If you can cook some spaghetti and bring it by the church it will be much appreciated. You can also supply the ingredients for the spaghetti. And as always, some of the items needed are carry out plates and plastic forks, spoons, and knives, napkins, etc. For more information, please contact Nancy Elinor at 514-8761. Please come out and support this fundraiser.
Do you need information about programs offered in Sharon? If so, please contact our City Hall at 456-2122 and they will gladly provide you with any information you need. This is a great community and we welcome you to stop in and visit our many places to shop or just stop in and see what different things we have for you to do.
We have so many things to offer here in Sharon. We have an outstanding public library full of the latest books, computers for citizens to use, and many other amenities.  The Sharon Public Library also has a book club that meets near the end of the month, so call them at 456-2707 or look for their article in Tuesday editions of the Press.
Our Senior Center offers a lot of activities for the seniors and almost seniors to do. From cards to dominos and even shuffleboard are available. They also now play horseshoes too. The center has exercise equipment available to help you stay in shape if that is your desire. Often they have special visitors coming to the center so be sure you stop by and get their calendar! For more information about Sharon Senior Center, call 456-2213.
If you want your info in our birthday and anniversary list, please email it to me or call me with the information. You will find my info at the bottom of the article. On November 6, Bo Fisher and Mildred Ann Henley celebrated birthdays. November 7, Randy and Cindy Gaylord celebrated their anniversary. On November 10, Micah David Brunson will celebrate his first birthday. On November 11, Lynn and Teri Harper celebrate their first anniversary.
The thought for the week: “A bad attitude is like a flat tire. You can’t go anywhere until you change it.”
If you have a thought you would like to share with the readers, feel free to drop me an email or call me and I will put it in my article. My email is jaegardner@frontiernet.net and phone number is 456-9823.
Well, for today, that is all the news that is news from the Sharon community. Remember to continue to pray for one another, our community, and our military. May God have mercy on our land and bless you all!
