General Sessions

The following cases were disposed of Nov. 5-9 in Obion County General Sessions Court by Judge Jimmy Smith, or fines paid before scheduled court appearances, and were recorded in the dockets in the office of Obion County Circuit Court Clerk Harry Johnson.
The cases listed exclude routine traffic violations, civil cases and cases that are dismissed, unless dismissal is contingent upon costs being paid or other conditions. All others are published, including judicial diversions and deferred cases, without exception.
• Justin T. Johnson — driving while license suspended, dismissed on payment of costs.
• Candace B. Taylor — driving while license suspended, dismissed on payment of costs.
• Jodeci D. Moses — Schedule II drugs (cocaine), guilty of a lesser charge; evading arrest, guilty as charged.
• Nathan Ward — driving under the influence (first offense), guilty of a lesser charge of reckless driving by intoxicant.
• Zachary Tyler Harper — vandalism (up to $500), bound over to the grand jury; theft of merchandise/shoplifting, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, disorderly conduct and aggravated assault, waived to the grand jury.
• Thomas L. Williams — posession of a weapon with intent to go armed/attempt, reckless endangerment/deadly weapon involved, simple possession/casual exchange and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, bound over to the grand jury.
• Miranda Yates — aggravated child abuse (ages 8 and under), theft of property $1,000-$10,000) and 22 counts of forgery, bound over to the grand jury.
• Orin J. Burnes — Schedule VI drugs/attempt, judicial diversion.
• Terrence J. Fitts — simple possession/casual exchange (marijuana), judicial diversion.
• Dylan M. Stough — driving while license suspended, deferred.
• Ryan N. Thompson — driving while license suspended, deferred.
• Micah S. Barnes — financial responsibility law violation, guilty as charged.
• Matthew A. Bradley — Schedule IV drugs, guilty as charged.
• Bobby L. Donnell — financial responsibility law violation, guilty as charged.
• Susan Finch — driving under the influence (second offense), guilty as charged.
• Bobby J. McGinnis — possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia and theft (up to $500), guilty as charged.
• Joseph L. Nelson — financial responsibility law violation, guilty as charged.
• Brooke Shute — financial responsibility law violation, guilty as charged.
• Noble S. Sims Jr. — theft of merchandise/shoplifting, guilty as charged.
• Nathan Ward — underage consumption, guilty as charged.
• George Wiggins — disorderly conduct, guilty as charged.
• David J. Wilbanks Jr. — financial responsibility law violation, guilty as charged.
• Jesica M. McGinnis — theft (up to $500), guilty plea.
• Sandra A. Ball — financial responsibility law violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Patrick Davis — wildlife rules and regulations violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Esteban P. Lopez — driving without a license and financial responsibility law violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Holmes E. Moore — drivers license to be carried and exhibited, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
