Gordon G. Roberts, 76, of Rives died Nov. 6, 2012, at West Tennessee Veterans Home in Humboldt.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 5-8 p.m. at White-Ranson Funeral Home.
Roger Fisher will officiate. Pallbearers will be Raiford Tarver, Joe Pryor, Ronnie Webb, Steve Wigdor, Bill Tanner and Mark McCullough.
He was born March 7, 1936, in Rives, son of the late Daniel Herman and Louise (Caudle) Roberts. He married the former Frances Darlene Isbell Dec. 11, 1958. She died Aug. 14, 2010. He was a retired employee of the Kohler Corp. in Union City, where he was a tool and die manager for more than 20 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a member of Berea Church of Christ.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Daphne and Curtis Thompson of Rives; three grandsons and the spouse of one, Clay and Audrey Thompson, Cory Thompson and Cody Thompson, all of Rives; his great-granddaughter, Bailey Thompson of Rives; and two brothers, Donald Roberts of Atoka and David Roberts of Jackson.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jenny Beth Roberts; and his brother, Waymon Joe Roberts.
