Union City Elementary School will host a Family Reading Night at the school library Thursday at 6. It will be “Opposite Night” and those attending are encouraged to wear clothing backwards, shoes on the wrong feet and other “opposites” and get ready to have some fun, a spokesman said.
Guest readers will include Lew Jetton, Obion County Public Library children’s department coordinator Jenny Virgin and KF99-KQ105’s Brent Hinson. Parents are encouraged to bring cameras since WLJT’s mascot, Rocky T-The Reading Ranger, will be there to take pictures with children.
“We want families to enjoy snacks and crafts and have fun reading at Family Reading Night,” a spokesman said.
