Mary Montgomery

Mrs. Mary Ella “Chris” Montgomery, 90, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at her son’s residence.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethel Church of Christ in Martin with Bro. Eddie Hutchens officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery in Martin with Murphy Funeral Home of Martin in charge of the arrangements.

Members of Bethel Church of Christ will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Montgomery was born Dec. 3, 1921 in Centerville, daughter of the late James Columbus Cavender and Malinda Lizabeth Luckett. She was the widow of John William Crowder and Glen Montgomery. She was a homemaker and member of Bethel Church of Christ.

Survivors include one son, Jerry (Linda) Crowder of Dyersburg.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Cavender and Hugh Cavender; and one sister, Lucille Autry.
