Lions, Lady Panthers take care of business

Dresden boys remained undefeated with a win over Sharon last week, while Martin boys lost for the first time this season.
The Martin girls picked up a big win over Union City with six Lady Panthers putting points on the scoreboard.
Martin 41, UC 21 (G)
The Lady Panthers were no match for the Lady Tornadoes Thursday night with Lydia Pritchett leading the way with 17 points.
Five other Lady Panthers scored with Tasia Jones putting eight on the board.
Martin led by 16 at the half and 36-21 at the end of the third period.
UC 55, Martin 25 (B)
The Panthers could not get anything going against the Tornadoes on Thursday, falling behind 14-0 before scoring their basket to end the first period.
Union City never let up the rest way and led 27-12 at the half. The Tornadoes made it a 17-point lead by the end of the third period with a 38-21 score.
Ty Kelly led the Panthers with nine points. Tyler Hopper added seven. Jeremy Bumpus scored a game-high 17 for UC.
Dresden 56, Sharon 15 (B)
The Lions poured it on the Eagles on Thursday with three players scoring in double figures.
Dresser Winn and Brice Williams each scored 14 for Dresden. Dylan Yates had a total of 11 points.
Paul Richmond topped the Sharon scorers with 11 points.
