Willie Dean Capps

Willie Dean Capps, 87, of Greenfield, died Monday, Oct. 29. 2012 at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Greenfield with Dr. Jerry Summers officiating. Burial was in Morris Cemetery in Greenfield.
P. J. Carr, Allen Carr, Ronnie Cook, Robert Cochran, Kevin Dicus and Terry Capps served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Ricky Gearin, Billy Chapel and Randy Brooks.
Capps was born March 23, 1925 in Greenfield, son of the late Henry and Tonie Bowers Capps. He was a World War II Army veteran where he served in the 17th and 101st Airborne.
Survivors include two sons, Willie (Rhonda) Capps of Grain Valley, Mo. and Bobby (Janie) Capps of Greenfield; one daughter, Martha (Jimmy) Sanders of Greenfield; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
