AT&T launches mobile network

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held recently for Union City’s AT&T store, which is celebrating the launch of its new mobile internet network in Obion County.
The local AT&T store, NewWave Link, is located at 1401 West Reelfoot Ave., Union City, next door to Dollar Tree.
AT&T’s new network extends access for advanced mobile services and devices in Obion County. AT&T’s customers have access to AT&T’s 4G network, which provides a widespread, ultra-fast and consistent 4G experience with simultaneous voice and data capabilities, according to a news release.
“These types of investments will make an immediate impact for businesses and consumers in Obion County,” said state Rep. Bill Sanderson of Kenton. “Investment like this drives economic growth in our area. With the number of mobile business and educational applications on the increase, it is good to see this faster network coming to our area.”
Union City’s AT&T store is open 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays.
