Dresden had no trouble with Paris Inman.
Led by three players scoring in double figures, the Lions wore out the visitors 60-29 in boys’ junior high basketball action Tuesday night.
In other recent Weakley County middle school hoops play, Greenfield’s girls remained unbeaten with a 42-32 win over Sharon on Monday night and 52-16 over Ridgemont on Tuesday, while the Yellowjacket boys dropped a 50-30 decision to the Mustangs.
Dresden 60, Inman 29 (B)
Dresser Winn and Brice Williams put up 14 points, while Dylan Yates added 11 points for the Lions.
Quincey McDonald had seven points, and Jordan Mitchell pitched in six for the Lions.
Tyler Allen led Inman with six points.
G’field 42, Sharon 32 (B)
Cadie McAlister and Kinlee Moore each had 14 points, and Kyndal Wiley added 13 for the Lady ’Jackets.
Greenfield held a slim 10-9 lead after one period and then extended that to 25-16 at intermission and 37-24 after three periods.
Lexiey Mealer scored 13 points, and Page Parmenter added 11 for Sharon.
G’field 52, R’mont 16 (G)
The unbeaten (8-0) Lady Yellowjackets started strong and never looked back, ahead 12-4 after one quarter, 24-10 at the half and 39-14 by the end of the third frame.
Moore topped all players with 15 points for Greenfield, while Carly Bramlett totaled 10 points for the Lady Mustangs.
R’mont 50, G’field 30 (B)
Jaylee Hobbs paced a balanced scoring attack for the Mustangs with 10 points.
Emanuel Morgan added nine points, while Cody Little, J.P. Jones, Heath Cary and Trey Summers all pitched in six points. Published in The WCP 11.1.12
