We had a great day at Sunday school and church Sunday. Our lesson was taught by Mark Simpson.

Our worship service started with Bro. Elwood, Bro. Mac, Bro. Steve, Vickie and Angela bringing us a great music program. The choir also sang two specials.

Bro. Mac brought his sermon from II Corinthians 4: 16-18.

We had a good Fall Festival. The crowd was not as large as usual since so many other churches were having theirs. Our church is the one who originally started the Fall Festival back in 1992 while Bro. Kelly Campbell was pastoring our church.

Gauge had a great time riding the horse that Vickie and Mike Higgs brought for the children to ride. He also enjoyed the hayride, plus the bouncy house and other games. I enjoyed the cakewalk and watching the others walk.

Our sympathy is extended to Rhonda and Willie Capps in the death Willie’s dad. He lived in Greenfield.

There will be a bridal tea for Matthew Tucker, son of Lisa Tucker and the late Brann Tucker, and Caitlin Simpson, daughter of Mark and Julie Simpson, Sunday in the fellowship hall from 2-4 p.m. They have selections at Wal-Mart, St. Charles Florist and Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Don’t forget to turn your clocks back Saturday night before going to bed or you will be an hour early for Sunday school.

Birthdays for this week are Michele Brown, Kelly Kelley, Gwen Coleman and Dillon King.

Until next week. May God bless.
