Wednesday night, Joe and Jackie Laws led us in singing “Lily of the Valley.” Tonight’s bible study was the entire second chapter of 1 Timothy.

On this Lord’s Day we had a good attendance for Sunday school. Our lesson was from John 18:12-28, 21:15-19 and Acts 4:1-20 titled “From Failure to Action.” It was about how we might have good intentions to do the right thing, but we falter when the time comes. But Jesus forgives, restores, and wants to use us regardless.

We sang “Happy Birthday” to Julie Baker and Hunter Dyer and Happy 55th wedding anniversary to Hugh and Carol Brann.

We extend sympathy to those that lost loved ones this week.

Joe and Jackie led us in singing “We Have Come Into His House,” “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms,” “Love Lifted Me” and “Tell It to Jesus.”

We held a baby dedication for Paxton Dyer, son of Hunter and Dawn Dyer and Brooklyn Mullins, daughter of Josh and Katheryn Mullins.

Those who are in children’s church then went to their classes.

Bro. Kieth’s text was from Proverbs 30:11-12 and Luke 12:20-22, 36 and Ephesians 6:14. He talked about dying and knowing Jesus. Time to make our preparations is now while we are alive. It’s to late after we die. At the end of the service, we had one to come for rededication and one for salvation. What a glorious service.

That evening, we had our annual Fall Fest. It was fabulous. We had between a 100-150 here. We were so glad to have our visitors! The kids had a blast on the blow-ups. We had delicious food. At dark, we went to the Hidden Forrest on a hayride. Everyone had a good time.

We appreciated Larry and Brenda Mullins from Milan, who came and sang for us.

Don’t forget to change your clocks back this weekend!
