The Union City School System has announced the following lunch menus for the week of Nov. 5-9:
Union City High School
Monday, Nov. 5 — Baked chicken nuggets or beef fingers with whole wheat roll, mashed potatoes with gravy, steamed carrots, fresh apple, canned peaches and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Tuesday, Nov. 6 — Barbecue pork with whole grain bun or turkey hot dog and chili with whole grain bun, baked beans, turnip greens, fresh orange, canned applesauce and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Wednesday, Nov. 7 — Meat loaf or tuna salad with whole wheat roll, green beans, fresh salad cup, fresh grapes, canned pears and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Thursday, Nov. 8 — Sausage pizza or soy butter and jelly with whole grain bread, steamed broccoli, whole kernel corn, fresh apple, canned pineapple and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Friday, Aug. 24 — Cheeseburger with whole grain bun or whole grain corndog, French fries, fresh sandwich salad cup, fresh banana, canned mixed fruit and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Note: Union City High School offers fresh salad bar options daily.
Union City Middle School

South Fulton Elementary School has announced the following breakfast and lunch menus for the week of Nov. 5-9:
Breakfast
Monday, Nov. 5 — Whole grain Pop Tarts or whole grain cereal with graham crackers and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Tuesday, Nov. 6 — Whole grain cinnamon raisin biscuit or whole grain cereal with wheat toast and jelly and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Wednesday, Nov. 7 — Strawberry pancakes or whole grain cereal with cinnamon wheat toast and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Thursday, Nov. 8 — Whole grain breakfast bagel or whole grain cereal with fresh fruit and graham crackers and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Friday, Nov. 9 — Breakfast rounds or whole grain cereal with cheese wheat toast and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Note: Free breakfast is offered daily to every South Fulton Elementary School student.
Lunch
Monday, Nov. 5 — Sauerkraut and franks or popcorn chicken, white beans, sweet potatoes, fruit bowl, cornbread and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Tuesday, Nov. 6 — Hot ham and cheese sandwich or pork chopette with whole wheat bun, steamed broccoli, diced potatoes, strawberry cup and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Wednesday, Nov. 7 — Grilled cheese with whole wheat bread or chicken fajita with whole grain tortilla, fajita blend vegetables, whole kernel corn, mandarin oranges and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Thursday, Nov. 8 — Barbecue sandwich with whole grain bun or sloppy joe with whole wheat bun, baked beans, potato wedges, fresh grapes and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Friday, Nov. 9 — Roasted chicken or ribette with whole grain hot dog bun, mashed potatoes, spinach salad, cherry tomatoes, banana, whole grain roll and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
