By The Numbers: Attacking from the edge, Murrell helped lead a Twister defense that held the explosive Vikings’ offense to just 128 total yards in Friday night’s 28-17 win. Murrell had six solo stops, coming in once to submarine marquee running back Nic McLilly, who UC held to just 65 yards on 22 carries. He also had a fumble recovery in the impressive win, which gave UC an automatic bid and first-round bye in the Class 1A state playoffs
Honorable Mention: Nathan Spaulding, OC, had nine tackles, giving him a team-best 117 for the season. … Ricky Henry, UC, posted a team-high 6-5 tackles.
