Book signing slated

Dr. Joan Evans Hartman will be at the Obion County Public Library at 1221 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to sign copies of her book, “Amen and His Family.”
Dr. Hartman is the sister of Dr. William S. Evans, former pastor of Union City First United Methodist Church. He is featured in several of the stories included in the book about their father, the late Dr. William S. Evans, who was also given the nickname “Amen” by his first grandchild.
The book is a collection of stories with three themes: Breaking Bread, Gifts We Have Received and A Way With Words.
The public is invited to attend.
