Thefts investigated

Two recent thefts reported to the Obion County Sheriff’s Department are under investigation.
Two deer stands were reported stolen sometime between Oct. 18 and Wednesday from the Chapel Hill Road area south of South Fulton, according to Chief Deputy Kent Treece. He said one of the deer stands was a 15-foot, two-man Hunters View brand valued at $125 and the second stand was a 15-foot, one-man Hunters View brand valued at $100. The theft was reported by Shane Upchurch of Troy.
Also reported to the sheriff’s department was the theft of a six-by-10-foot black tilt trailer taken from Circle Drive in Rives sometime between Oct. 21 and Wednesday, according to Treece. He said the theft was reported by Danny Sweat, who stated a chain securing the trailer was cut. The value of the trailer was estimated at $800.
