Mary Lavelle (Wade) Mobbs Brandon, 83, of Union City died Oct. 28, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Dr. Bobby Williams and the Rev. Danny Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Sanders Chapel Cemetery near Union City.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 this evening.
Pallbearers will be James Cole, Michael Cole, Dalton Smyth, Dustin Smyth, Justin Norsworthy, Derrick Morphis, Jamie Smith, Joshua Mobbs, Tim Hairston and Josh Burd.
She was born Jan. 11, 1929, in Benton County, daughter of the late Lilburn and Vera (Higdon) Wade. She married William G. Mobbs Jan. 2, 1949. He died July 9, 1990. She married Melvin Brandon Aug. 30, 1995. He died Oct. 23, 2012. She was a retired employee of Kinkead Industries in Union City, where she was employed for 15 years, and was a member of Faith Assembly of God in Union City.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Ricky Cole and Reba and Butch Smyth, all of Union City, and Teresa and Carl Harris of Trimble; two sons and her daughter-in-law, Danny and Ann Mobbs of Goodrich, Mich., and Ruel Mobbs of Union City; two stepdaughters, Molinda Walker of Union City and Regina Waldon of Hornbeak; her stepson, Melvin Brandon Jr. of Memphis; her brother, Ernest Wade of Waverly; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Irene O’Berry, Rose Hime and Vernelle Douglas; and her grandson, Ruel Mobbs Jr.
