On Oct. 10 the ladies met for their Women on Mission meeting with seven ladies present. Pam Friar was in charge of the program taken for the “Royal Service.” We studied stories titled “Used, Abused and Thrown Away” and “Pitfalls of Prayer.”

Bro. Larry Clark led the Bible study with the men using Psalms 34:4. 

On Oct. 14 Bro. Larry Clark read I Peter 1:13-17 as the scripture text for the message titled “The Christian and the State.

That night, Bro. Larry continued the Bible study reading Revelations 3:6-11.

Paul Brown recently had surgery at the Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin and

came home last week.

On Oct. 17, Bro. Larry read I Peter 4:7-11 as the scripture text for the message titled “Living on the Edge of Eternity.

On the afternoon of Oct.17, my sister, Ruby Sutherland, her son, David Sutherland and his daughter, Sara S. Johnson, all of Paris Landing visited with us.

On Sunday Bro. Larry read Joshua 14:14 and several verses from Timothy for the message titled “Give Me This Day.”

That night, Bro. Larry read Revelations 3:10 along with several other verses from Revelation for the message.

It was good to have Gary and Phyllis Jenkins in the services as they have been having medical problems over the last two weeks.

Sunday we will be having “Harvest Day.”  Sunday School at 10 a.m., worship service at 11 a.m., lunch at noon with several activities in the afternoon. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.
