What a great day we had at church Sunday. First of all, our two regular teachers were out so Bro. Elwood came in class late and we told him that he was it. Graciously, he accepted it and taught a great lesson. Thanks Bro. Elwood.

Our morning worship started with Bro. Elwood, Bro. Mac, Bro. Steve, Vickie and Angela bringing us great music. Bro. Elwood brought us a beautiful solo, “Heal Our Land.”

Bro. Mac brought his text from II Corinthians 3:1-18.

We lost one of our dear church family members, Janice Cleek, Friday. We express our deepest sympathy to Nathan and the children.

Bro. Mac, Bro. Elwood and Bro. Steve was presented cards and gift cards Sunday for Pastor/Staff Appreciation Day. We also had a fellowship Sunday evening after service for Bro. Mac and Bro. Steve since they had birthdays this past week. Delicious finger foods and desserts were served.

There will be a bridal tea for Caitlin Simpson and Matthew Tucker, Sunday, Nov. 4 from 2-4 p.m. in the fellowship hall. They have registered at St. Charles Florist, Wal-Mart and Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Pleasant Hill has 15 spots available to go to the Samaritan’s Purse Processing Center in Atlanta Dec. 9-11. See Sharon Waterfield if you would like to go. They will be boxing up the shoeboxes the different churches fixed and get them ready to be shipped overseas.

Don’t forget our Fall Festival Sunday. They still need individually wrapped candy for the kids. Please bring them to church Sunday morning.

I missed some of the birthdays last week because I lost my bulletin. So from Oct. 13 to the end of the month, these celebrating birthdays are Emily Fowler, Mallory Simpson, Steve Douglas, Greg Hahn, Alex Moore, Michele Brown and Kelly Kelley.

For those who have ask about my daughter, she is still not any better than when she first came home. Please keep her, and our whole family, in your daily prayers.

Until next week, may God bless.
