Mowing has started

Contract mowing crews and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews have started their fall mowing cycle in Kentucky.
Motorists are advised to be alert for crews working along state highways across the region.
A contract mowing crew started work this week along the Julian Carroll-Purchase Parkway at Fulton and will be working northward.
Motorists should slow down and use appropriate caution whenever they encounter a mowing zone. Operators often have to enter and cross driving lanes with their equipment as they go about their work.
State highway crews will be working along U.S. highways and rural secondary routes across the region in coming weeks.
Homeowners, businesses and political candidates are reminded to keep yard signs and other advertising off state right of way. Crews will be removing signs that create a hazard to the public and mowing crews.
