Lucille “Lou” (Powell) Spence, 87, of Rives died Oct. 24, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Gravesides services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Stovall Cemetery near Rives, with the Rev. James Kinsey officiating.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Zachary King, Nathan King, Holden King, James Butler, Mike Rosenthal and Matthew Smith.
She was born Feb. 12, 1925, in Ledford, Ill., daughter of the late Jack and Grace (Parson) Powell. She married Jack Spence in 1941. He died in 1984. She was a nurse’s aide at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City and Union City Manor Nursing Home. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two sons, Jackie Spence of Rives and Jerry Spence of Tiptonville; her brother, Les Powell of Evansville, Ind.; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Bodie Spence; and two daughters, Vicky Joynt and Joyce Lechrone.
