Lael Sunday school class held its regular monthly class meeting recently.
Faye Passmore, outreach leader, opened the meeting with everyone saying the Pledge of Faith. “God is who He says He is. God can do what He says He can do. I am who God says I am. I can do all things through Christ. God’s Word is alive and active in me. I’m believing God.”
Joyce Stephens led a prayer for those who are sick and those who have lost loved ones.
The monthly project was to buy two turkeys for Feeding of the 5,000.
Louise Petty, devotion leader, gave the devotional about Run with Patience. “Jesus said O my child, there is nothing that I would hold back from thee. If you wilt heed my words, if thou wilt listen to my word, I will surely lead thee in a planned path. Run with patience, So as I have told thee before, Come to me and pour out thy praise and thy love, and thy worship. I will bless thee and guide thee and use thee in my good time and pleasure. Those shalt not be disappointed.”
Jean Eaker served refreshments of lemon cake, candy, nuts and trail mix with drinks or coffee.
Those attending were Ms. Eaker, Dot Capps, Mrs. Stephens, Lena Mai Pruitt, Ms. Petty, Dorothy Rasberry and Ms. Passmore.
