The Martin Air Evac Lifeteam base has been selected as the company’s 2012 Region 3 Base of the Year. Region 3 consists of Air Evac Lifeteam bases in Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia.
The Base of the Year Award is presented to the base in the Air Evac Lifeteam system that best exemplifies the company’s mission, including community service, education and scene work.
“The important ingredients which enable this base to be successful are team commitment and hard work,” said regional director of Base Operations Jeff Davis.
“Each employee goes above and beyond to exceed the expectations of the patients and customers, and the unity between each area of the base is second to none.”
Davis also noted the crew members’ willingness to teach continuing education classes for area providers. “The crews believe that education provides a door for relationship building and the opportunity to enhance the knowledge and skills of the providers,” he said. Davis added that “the positive attitudes shown to each patient, family member and customer can be easily seen, and the Martin base is very deserving of this award.”
The Martin base is located at 199 Baker Road and is led by program director Kent Martin, who is in charge of all operations at the base.
