OCCHS set to sell
hoop season tickets

Tickets for the 2012-13 Obion County Central basketball season will go on sale beginning Oct. 29 at the high school during normal school hours.
Previous reserved chairback ticket holders can purchase their tickets through Nov. 2. Beginning Nov. 5, any remaining chairback seats can be purchased as well as general admission tickets.
The cost of a reserved chairback is $75, and general admission seats are $50.

Rebel cheer, softball
cook up fund raiser

The Obion County Central High School cheerleaders and softball team will again benefit from the third annual Steak and Shrimp Dinner Nov. 10.
For $15, patrons will be served a 12-ounce New York strip steak, five large grilled shrimp, baked potato, salad, bread and a drink.
Homemade desserts will also be part of the meal.
The dinner will be served from 5:30-8 p.m. at the OCCHS commons area.
Takeouts will be available.

SEC announces
weekly awards

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray and LSU linebacker Kevin Minter are the Southeastern Conference’s offensive and defensive players of the week.
The SEC also awarded Florida punter Kyle Christy special teams honors on Monday.
Murray completed 30 of 38 passes for a career-high 427 yards and four touchdowns in a win at Kentucky. He set the school record for completion percentage.
Minter led the Tigers with 12 tackles, including a sack, and had an interception in LSU’s win.
