Oregon trip included
on UT ’13 agenda

KNOXVILLE (AP) — Tennessee will travel to Oregon and Florida on consecutive September weekends next year, according to the 2013 football schedule.
The Volunteers will face each of the top three teams in the current Top 25: No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Oregon and No. 3 Florida. Auburn will replace Mississippi State as one of its SEC West Division opponents.
The home schedule includes Austin Peay on Aug. 31, Western Kentucky on Sept. 7, South Alabama on Sept. 28, Georgia on Oct. 5, South Carolina on Oct. 19, Auburn on Nov. 9 and Vanderbilt on Nov. 23. Road dates include Oregon on Sept. 14, Florida on Sept. 21, Alabama on Oct. 26, Missouri on Nov. 2 and Kentucky on Nov. 30.

Fulmer, ’97 team
set to be honored

KNOXVILLE (AP) — Former Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer and his 1997 Southeastern Conference championship team are being honored Saturday at Neyland Stadium before the Volunteers’ game with No. 1 Alabama.
The event will celebrate Fulmer’s Dec. 4 induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place 22 minutes before the game’s scheduled 7:05 p.m. kickoff.
Fulmer coached Tennessee to a 152-52 record from 1993-2008. His 1997 team went 11-2 and defeated Auburn 30-29 in the SEC championship game before falling 42-17 to Nebraska in the Orange Bowl. The Vols won the national title the following year.
The ceremony is expected to include more than 40 members of the 1997 team, including Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.
