Sunday was another beautiful Lord’s Day. A little rain came early this morning and the clouds have looked like rain all day. So far it’s been nice.
We had a good attendance. We still have several out. Wilma Wilbanks came to church today. She has had surgery.
Mrs. Mary Tuck passed away. She was one of our faithful members until she had to go to the nursing home. Her funeral was Saturday. The church prepared lunch for the family after the services.
From the announcements that Bro. Mark made, there was a lot of activities going on with the youth and small children Saturday. I was unable to find out what all they did.
Bro. Mark’s message was from Corinthians 1:27-28. The world needs people to make a difference. People need somebody to reach out to them with the love of Christ.
Bud and Barbara lee led our evening worship.
Our Fall Festival will be Oct. 27. Games will begin at 4 p.m. and food will be served at 5 p.m.
The Lord blessed me by letting me attend the Chestnut Glade reunion. I am not sure how many attended but it was close to 70. Everyone seemed to have a good time.
