Letha Edmaiston, 95, of Troy went home to be with the Lord at 7:52 p.m. Oct. 18, 2012, at the Union City Manor Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mount Ararat Cemetery near Troy. The Rev. Jerry Leggett will officiate.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Saturday and from noon-1:30 p.m. Sunday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Edmaiston was born March 26, 1917, in Clarksdale, Miss., daughter of the late John William and Ida Ann (Green) Patton. She married Rolie F. Edmaiston Jan. 13, 1943. He died Aug. 26, 2004. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Union City.
She is survived by her daughter, Edna Eaves of Union City; six sons and five daughters-in-law, Bobby and Lou Alice Edmaiston of Lake Charles, La., Kenneth and Joyce Edmaiston of Fulton, James and Carol Edmaiston, Rolie and Carolyn Edmaiston and Eugene and Bonnie Edmaiston, all of Union City, and Arthur Edmaiston of Troy; 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Estelle Edmaiston and Carolyn Brown; her grandson, Scotty Edmaiston; two sisters, Mary Campbell and Geneva Irwin; and four brothers, Howard Patton, Kelly Patton, Eric Patton and Roy Patton.
