A burglary was reported Monday evening at Christina M. Jimerson’s home at 611 North Division St., according to a Union City Police Department report. Ms. Jimerson, 27, remains hospitalized at Regional Medical Center (the Med) in Memphis as the result of multiple stab wounds sustained during a brual attack Thursday night at her home. A suspect is in police custody. Ms. Jimerson’s father, Curtis Jimerson of Clinton, Ky., told police he came by Monday to check on his daughter’s apartment and found a rear window had been broken. A neighbor told police he heard a noise Sunday night but thought it was his refrigerator compressor kicking on. He noticed the broken window about 7:30 a.m. Monday. The father and one of Ms. Jimerson’s friends determined an 18-inch flat screen Sanyo television and a black DVD player had been taken from a bedroom and a 32-inch flat screen television had been taken from the living room.
