The Celtic Society of West Tennessee will be holding its seventh annual CelticFest from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Nov. 3-4 at the city park at Parkers Crossroads (exit 108 on I-40).
The event features live music, a pipe and drum band, Celtic and American foods, a variety of quality vendors, SCA re-enactors and a Sunday herding demonstration.
The venue is “kid friendly” with playground and picnic facilities.
Admission is $6 per person per day or $5 with the donation of nonperishable food items. Children younger than age 5 are free. Proceeds will benefit the Chyanne Scott Memorial Fund, which supports families of children with catastrophic disease and, in worst case scenarios, assists with final expenses.
This is the only Celtic festival in all of West Tennesse, a spokesman said. The CSWT is a charitable, nonprofit organization licensed by the state of Tennessee.
