The Review Club meets

The Review Club met recently at the Obion County Public Library.
Program hostess and president Mary Whayne Miles called the meeting to order. Secretary Jan Rankin called roll with 13 members present. She also read the minutes of the last meeting. The treasurer’s report was given by treasurer Linda Simrell.
The group enjoyed an interesting program on the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Tennessee. The ladies were informed on the basics of the club, which includes five key elements for positive youth development, high yield activities, targeted programs and regular attendance. Three leaders from the club — chief professional officer Vencent Bell, Union City club director Tracy Boucher and vice president Clint Joiner, who is in charge of board development and support service — gave a PowerPoint presentation to familiarize the members with club history and activities.
The group enjoyed fresh caramel pie, nuts and drinks served by Mrs. Miles before adjourning the meeting.
