The four final Masquer-ade Theatre performances of the production of Robert Harling’s “Steel Mag-nolias” begins tonight at the Capitol Theatre in downtown Union City.
The Bashful cast, directed by Jonathan Johnson, performs tonight and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The cast includes Sharmin Moss as Truvy, Maggie Olmstead as Shelby, Linda Simrell as M’Lynn, Anna Oliver as Annelle, Sacchi Doss as Clairee and Jan Kizer as Ouiser.
The Blush cast, directed by Brian Johnson, will perform Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. The cast includes Catherine Nailling as Truvy, Steph-anie McClanahan as Shel-by, Lori Suiter as M’Lynn, Macy Thompson as An-nelle, Jenny Gilliland as Clairee and Connie Norman as Ouiser.
Linda St. Clair is serving as executive director.
Bob Elderkin is serving as technical director and is in charge of lights and sound. Elderkin, Ron Bloebaum, Larry Buckles, Ralph Gilliam, Gerry Hart, Rob Joyner and Dana Goodman constructed the set.
The set was decorated by Tara Tubbs and Kerri Benthal, who have also been in charge of props and stage management.
Serving as prompters are Sarah Schlager, Ms. Benthal, Ms. Tubbs and Aaron Scott. The cast members have provided the costumes.
Tickets are available in advance from Sandra Harris at Lanzer Printing and Office Supply Co. for $10 each. Carolyn Bloebaum and Jeannine Cranford will also be selling tickets at the door.
