Woodrow Francis Cook, 70, of Samburg died Oct. 5, 2012 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was an employee of Georgia Gulf Corporation, graduate of University of Memphis, avid hunter and outdoorsman, former professional bull rider and worked for Federal Wildlife Resource Agencies from Maryland to California.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Keystone Park with Carl Mills officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his two daughters, Megan Cook of Rives and Heather Cook of Hendersonville; two sons, Joel Parks Cook of Memphis and Matt Cook of Nashville; his mother, Mary Lou Yates of Tiptonville; his sister, Kathleen Yates of Tiptonville; and his granddaughter, Elizabeth Cook.
He was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow Cook.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Samburg Senior High School Scholarship Fund, Town of Samburg, P.O. Box 238, Samburg TN 38254.
