Nancy Jayne “Janie” Kitchin, 68, of Jackson, formerly of South Fulton, died Oct. 8, 2012, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was a member of Parkway Church of Christ. She attended the University of Tennessee at Martin and was a graduate of the Kentucky School of Banking in Lexington, Ky. She was an assistant cashier for the former City National Bank in Fulton and then worked as the head cashier at the Community Bank in Metropolis, Ill. She was also a commissioned Kentucky Colonel and had lived most of her life in this area.
She is survived by her husband to whom she married Dec. 4, 1973, Gary Kitchin of Jackson; two sons, Bart (Shelley) Williams of Milan and Keith (Meredith) Thomas Kitchin of Jacksonville, Ark.; her daughter, Wendy Chan Williams of Jackson; her step-daughter, Shannon (Daniel) Kitchin Davis of Shelby N.C.; 10 grandchildren, Brandy (Steven) Wright of South Fulton, Keith Dalton Kitchin of Jacksonville, Madalyn “Southards” Kitchin of Poplar Bluff Mo., Caitlin Emerson of Mississippi, Bennen Kitchin and Pene-lope Alice Jane Kitchin, both of Little Rock, Ark., Ella Williams of Jackson and Rickman, Catie and Ashley Davis, all of Shelby, N.C.; four great-grandchildren, Allison and Aiden Wright and Landon and Josh McKnight, all of South Fulton; four brothers, Doug Taylor of Bartlett and Terry, Tony and Steve Taylor, all of South Fulton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William F. and Alice Elena (Tuck) Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Parkway Church of Christ in Fulton. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Weakley County.
Friends may call at the church after noon on Saturday until the service hour.
