Tennessee Galvanizing will expand its Jasper, representing an investment of $2.3 million and the creation of 35 manufacturing jobs, according to the state Department of Economic and Community Development.
Tennessee Galvanizing provides metal galvanizing, a process of coating a metal, usually iron or steel, with a protective covering of zinc. The company has been in business for 20 years and will be expanding its current 23-acre location in order to handle a new centrifuge process and additional warehouse space.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Marion County, the City of Jasper and state officials for their help in making this expansion happen,” David S. Ware, Sr., president and CEO, Tennessee Galvanizing, said.
“We are thrilled with Tennessee Galvanizing’s decision to expand and create additional jobs for our community,” Marion County Mayor John Graham said.
“Tennessee Galvanizing has been a part of the Jasper business community for 20 years now, and I am delighted with their decision to continue to grow and expand in our community,” Jasper Mayor Billy Simpson said.
