On Wednesday we sang, “I’ll Fly Away” to open our service. We started our Bible study in 2 Timothy 1:1-2:10.

On Saturday evening we had a good turnout for our fish supper. Pirates Creek Baptist Church was our guest. We appreciated all who came. The food was delicious.

Ms. Rosie Buttrey’s family surprised her with a birthday party. Alot of her family were here to help her celebrate. She was 95 today.

On Sunday we had a good attendance for Sunday school with 58. Our lesson, “Choose Wisely,” was from Matthew 7:13-29. The lesson was about our choosing to build our lives on Jesus and His teachings.

After Sunday school was over, we sang “Happy Birthday” to Ms. Rosie and to Donna Nemyer, Sylas Hubble and Brooke Mullins.

Sunday was Youth Day. Kelly Meeks made our announcements. Our scripture reading was from Philippians 4:4-8. Bro. Kieth talked about “The Peace of God.” At the end of the service, we observed the Lord’s Supper.

Our children and some adults went to the park in Martin for an afternoon outing. They reported a good time.

Your writer was not at the evening’s service but the scripture reading was from 1 Timothy 6:7-12.
