|Over 150 pounds of unused and expired medications were collected Saturday at a highly-successful prescription drug takeback in Martin. |
The Martin Police Department participated Saturday in the DEA National Prescription Drug Takeback.
Martin police reported the event was “extremely successful,” with a total of 156.6 pounds of unused and expired medications being collected.
In a news release, police expressed appreciation to the sponsors of the event and to everyone who participated.
The event has become an annual program for the police department and a spokesman said police hope to continue to offer the service. Published in The WCP 10.2.12
