COLORFUL CARMEN
Ten-year-old Morgan Joyner of South Fulton donned colorful fruit-fashioned garb made famous by samba singer Carmen Miranda as she rode on Heritage Bank’s float in Saturday evening’s Banana Festival grand parade, which traveled along Broadway in South Fulton to end in downtown Fulton. She is the daughter of Shane and Mary Margaret Joyner. The Banana Festival closed out its 50th birthday edition Saturday night with the highly-successful parade and a concert by country music star Joe Diffie. (More photos from the Banana Festival will appear as the Friends & Neighbors feature in Wednesday’s edition.)
