Monette Fowler, 91, of the Cayce (Ky.) community died Sept. 30, 2012, at Haws Memorial Nursing Home in Fulton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cayce United Methodist Church and burial will follow in the Cayce Methodist Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton 5-8 p.m. today. Mrs. Fowler will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the service hour.

She was a member of Cayce United Methodist Church and was the owner-operator of the former Fowler’s Grocery in Cayce for 23 1/2 years. She was a commissioned Kentucky Colonel and a member of the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed fishing and reading. She lived most of her life in Union City and Cayce.
She is survived by her husband, Wilson Lee Fowler; two daughters and her son-in-law, Annell Goodwin of Cayce and Betty Glen and Bobby Harrison of Fulton; five grandchildren, Alan Goodwin of Newbern, Derek Goodwin of Nolansville, Shana Walker of Delaware, Ohio, Melanie Curlin of Fulton and Valerie Warren of Murray Ky.; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, H.H. and Anice (Woodfin) Council; and her brother, Glenwood Council.
