Completed arrangements are being announced for Lela Ernestine Clark, 91, of Union City, who died Sept. 21, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. A.E. McCadney officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Rawls Funeral Home in Union City is in charge of arrangements.
She was born March 31, 1921, in Cotton Plant, Ark., to the late Rev. Charlie and Magnolia (Liggins) Fitzpatrick.
She later moved to Union City and graduated from the former Miles High School. She attended nursing school in Nashville.
She worked for Dr. D.P. Harris as a nurse for many years and for the Union City School System until her retirement.
She was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Clark was married to the late Joe Nathan Clark.
She is survived by two daughters, Blossie Clark and Ealer Bass, both of Union City; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Rosetta and Alvin Hardwick of Madison, Ala., Florence and Duncan Kaufmann and Roberta Jones, all of Ann Arbor, Mich., Brenda and Arthur Graham of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Maryline Kane of Peoria, Ill.; two brothers, Jerome Fitzpatrick of Gary, Ind., and Willie Fitzpatrick of Jacksonville, Fla.; and four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Anthony Clark; three grandchildren, Jeffery Clark, Gwen Clark and Knox Bass; two sisters, Frances Morris and Elnora Morgan; two brothers, Patterson Omega Fitzpatrick and Charles Fitzpatrick; and her son-in-law, Joe Knox Bass.
