Obion County Central High School students will be leading a See You at the Pole™ event Wednesday morning prior to classes, and the community is invited to attend.
The student-led prayer initiative will begin at 6:45 a.m. in front of the school in Troy. The program will include a time of worship with praise music, special music and a youth speaker.
The theme for Wednesday’s nationwide See You at the Pole global day of student prayer is “Awaken” and the scripture is Ephesians 3:14-21. The effort began in 1990 as a grassroots movement with just 10 students praying at their school in Texas and 22 years later has grown into an effort involving millions praying on their campuses the fourth Wednesday in September.
