Greetings from Pleasant Hill.
We enjoyed a great Sunday school lesson with Mark Simpson teaching our class. We are really growing in our class. If five of our regular members had not missed Sunday, we would have had to move more chairs in or move to the auditorium. We only had two empty chairs.
Janice Cleek is in critical condition in the Jackson-Madison County Hospital. They think she either had a stroke or heart attack. We hope for her a speedy recovery.
Bro. Elwood and the musicians brought a great music program. Bro. Mac was on the bass guitar, Bro. Steve on guitar, Vickie Cox on piano and Denise Doss on the organ. We have really enjoyed Vickie playing for us this month.
Bro. Elwood brought our special music singing “The Love of God.”
Bro. Mac brought his message from 2 Corinthians 1:12-24.
Our children started practicing for the Christmas program Sunday night. This is always a special time for the children.
It is almost time to start getting our shoeboxes ready for Christmas for the needy children overseas. Operation Christmas Child Samaritan’s Purse is an annual event at Pleasant Hill. So start buying for your shoebox now!
Birthdays for this week are: Linda Merritt, Joe Harelson, Verna Lee, Chad Hazlewood and Peggy Carr. Happy birthday to all of these!
Until next week, may God bless.
